Some skin laser treatments are available through the NHS. These treatments cover conditions considered appropriate for NHS treatment by your local NHS Clinical Commissioning Group.
Typically, the NHS laser treatments we carry out will be for conditions acquired through disease, accident or birth, but it will depend on local contracts.
If you have a vascular condition, such as a port-wine stain, or a pigmented condition, such as café-au-lait macules or Naevus of Ota; acne scarring; or you are experiencing excessive hair growth due to a hormone disorder, for example, you should speak to your GP in the first instance to see if NHS funding might be available.
We will need a referral letter from your GP before we can see you for an initial consultation under the NHS.
